The San Francisco medical examiner’s office has identified the victim of a fatal pedestrian crash on southbound Interstate Highway 280 in San Francisco Thursday night as Alma Burton.

Burton, 58, was struck by several vehicles and killed in the southbound lanes of the highway near Ocean Avenue around 10:15 p.m. Thursday.

The crash resulted in a congested roadway that might have contributed to a second crash involving a sport utility vehicle and an Acura near San Jose Avenue at about 12:05 a.m., according to the CHP. That crash caused minor injuries.

The CHP is investigating both incidents and said last week a possible hit-and-run driver is being sought in connection with the fatal crash.
