A man found dead in San Francisco’s Diamond Heights neighborhood on Tuesday evening has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as 28-year-old Steven Escalon.

Escalon, a San Francisco resident, was found at about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 5000 block of Diamond Heights Boulevard, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not yet released Escalon’s cause of death but said the case is being treated as a homicide.

According to his Facebook page, Escalon also went by the name Eriq Escalon and worked as a hair dresser at Metamorphosis Salon on Market Street.
