A man was found dead in San Francisco’s Diamond Heights neighborhood on Tuesday evening and investigators are treating the case as a homicide, police said today.

The death was reported at about 6:20 p.m. in the 5000 block of Diamond Heights Boulevard.

Officers responded and found the 27-year-old victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The medical examiner’s office was not immediately releasing the man’s name.

Police this morning did not release the victim’s suspected cause of death, but said that the department’s homicide detail is handling the case.
