booze.jpgA San Francisco man was arrested on drunk driving charges after allegedly hitting a parked car and knocking down a utility pole early Sunday morning, police said.

A black GMC SUV was traveling east on the 1600 block of Geneva Avenue around 12:15 a.m. when it struck a parked silver Toyota sedan, pushing the sedan out into traffic, said Sgt. Michael Andraychak.

The SUV then struck a lightpole, knocking it down and dropping utility lines into the street.

The collision closed Geneva between Prague and Brookdale streets and rerouted Muni bus service. The street was completely reopened at 4 p.m., Andraychak said.

The driver of the SUV, 35-year-old Gao Yu, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence.

PG&E crews shut down power to 88 customers in the area to make repairs to the damaged power lines, a PG&E spokesman said.
