PG&E work crews are repairing power lines damaged when a car hit a utility pole in San Francisco’s Crocker-Amazon neighborhood early this morning, a PG&E spokesman said.
The car struck the pole in the 1600 block of Geneva Avenue shortly after midnight, police said.
The collision did not cause a power outage initially, but PG&E crews cut off power for 88 customers at 1:45 a.m. so they could safely repair the damage, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.
Multiple crews remain on the scene making repairs, but as of around 6 a.m. there was no estimate for when power would be restored, Guidi said.
