Beach_Chalet.jpgTwo men were suffering from life-threatening injuries today following a fight that broke out near Ocean Beach in San Francisco Thursday evening, a police spokesman said.

Seven suspects are sought in the beating and stabbing of two men, who were injured in the fight at about 5 p.m. Thursday at the Beach Chalet restaurant located at 1000 Great Highway, police Officer Albie Esparza said.

One victim, a 21-year-old man whose name has not been released, was stabbed in his torso during the fight, Esparza said.

The other victim, a 24-year-old man, also suffered life-threatening injuries, but Esparza was unable to comment on the nature of his wounds.

Shortly after the fight, police Lt. Troy Dangerfield said the victims’ injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

Officers have few details about the seven suspects, who were described as seven males of unknown ages, armed with at least one knife and a baseball bat. They fled the scene in a black four-door vehicle of unknown make, according to police.

Police detained one person in connection to the fight across the street from Beach Chalet Thursday night, but that person has since been released, Esparza said.

The fight may have been gang-related, but police have not made any conclusions and are still investigating leads, Esparza said.
