George-Washington.jpgAre you working today? We’re taking it easy, and hope you are, too. But don’t think you can use this day off to run all those errands you’ve been procrastinating on — Presidents’ Day means lots of closures.

All government offices of the federal, state, county, or city variety are closed, as is your bank (yes, people still go into banks. You should try it some time, they still have lollipops!).

The Post Office is closed, so you won’t be getting any mail today. Schools are closed, too.

BART and Muni are running on a Saturday schedule, which means fewer trains and buses and less frequent service. BART station parking is free today.

San Francisco parking meters and seven day street sweeping will be enforced citywide on the holiday. Commuter tow away, residential parking permits and Monday-Friday street sweeping will not be enforced, says Muni.
