With the BART strike averted, the collective consciousness of local online media seems to have turned to Outside Lands, the weekend music festival in Golden Gate Park. For our part, we have Things San Franciscans Like: Not This Year’s Outside Lands Lineup, (Un?)Appealing Events: Outside Lands, and Your Outside Lands Transit Guide, all of which we hope will be in sufficient editorial lockstep to save us from the rapier pen of Eric Arnold. But what’s everyone else saying?

SF Weekly: Outside Lands Trivia Contest I don’t know, dude. It’s this teeny narrow column of text then some letters or something. I always hated it when people said “people pay for this shit?” when they’d read it on SFGate, because, don’t tell me how to spend my freelance money, jerk. So I will not say that.

Guardian: (Ha! I put the Guardian and Weekly right next to each other! You like that?) Three nice little previews, one overview, for Gang Gang Dance, and one for Tom Jones.

Richmondsfblog: A resident’s guide to Outside Lands Festival The brilliant Sarah B. has an unbelievably comprehensive rundown of everything you need to know if you’re going to the show, or just live in the neighborhood. Required reading.

SFist: YouTube to Broadcast Outside Lands Festival Live Yeah, we’ve all mocked the lineup, but I’m still totally going to have this on. I do kind of like the puppets.
