Today’s the day: after a six month fabrication period, the Wax Museum at Fisherman’s Wharf will be welcoming its newest figure, a $15K figure of Barack Obama.

Obama will reach the museum via the F-Market (Wax museum officials note that waxObama, like Chris Daly, does not have a Fast Pass, but, unlike Daly, will pay a cash fare to ride the historic street car), and is expected to arrive at the museum at about 3 PM. And the bounty of Obama accompanies even his replica, as if you’re among the first 100 people at the museum to greet the fake president, you’ll get in free.

Hey, since a couple of the Mayor’s press releases lately have been I concur!-type reactions to Obama moves, perhaps this will give rise to an unprecedented Mayoral presence on Muni? Where’s Gavin, get ready to pony up for the beer.
