Football fans can take a guided tour of San Francisco’s historic Candlestick Park stadium today.

The hour-long tour will include a behind-the-scenes look at team locker rooms, the view from the luxury suites and a run on the field, according to the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department.

Candlestick Park, built in 1960 as a baseball stadium for the San Francisco Giants, has a capacity of 70,000 and is the second oldest stadium in the National Football League, officials said.

Tours will be available Monday to Friday at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at 11 a.m. To book a tour call (415) 819-6498 or email Amanda Tugwell at Amanda.tugwell@sfgov.org.
