Evil DeadEverywhere
A remake of the 1981 horror classic about a cabin in the woods and demon possession. If you really need to get some horror movie action into your life, check it out, but if you want to see something mind-blowing, weird, and scary-fun, check out the original. So, like any movie that’s been released in the last three years.

Jurassic Park 3DEverywhere
Big-ass, scary dinosaurs in 3D — fuck yeah! I want to see raptors going buckwild on some doorknobs. Let’s do this.

The Story of LukeAMC Van Ness 14
A comedy about Luke, a young man with autism who embarks on a quest for a job and a girlfriend. Starring Lou Taylor Pucci, Seth Green, Cary Elwes and Kristin Bauer (Pam from True Blood!) it’s got some sweet laughs, and it’s just incredibly light and fluffy and maybe a little boring? But it’s different enough to warrant a viewing, and the cast is stellar. I mean, could you ask for anything more than those four? You’d be NUTS!

Ginger & RosaOpera Plaza
The Cuban Missile Crisis must’ve been really fucking scary. It’s London in 1962, and two 16-year-old best friends forever are trying to figure out life while also being terrified about the world exploding. From writer-director Sally Potter, a mega-talent who needs to be directing everything, this coming-of-age flick will fuck you up in the best way possible.

Gimme the LootOpera Plaza
This film is just about two teen robbers falling in love and tagging things. It’s goofy, weird, and exuberant love letter to New York City. There’s lots of swearing and being dumb, so I’m into it. Bring your friends who don’t think indie films are any fun. Because they’re mainly correct, and this is just an exception.
