San Francisco Municipal Railway subway service between the Embarcadero and Castro stations has been restored on schedule this morning after downed wires disrupted service for several hours Wednesday evening, a Muni spokesman said.

Service was disrupted after overhead wires came down in the inbound direction at the Van Ness station.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency is investigating the cause of the overhead wire problems, Muni spokesman Judson True said.
