Man Struck In Face With Rubber Mallet In Tenderloin Fight

An argument in San Francisco’s Tenderloin on Wednesday morning ended with one man hitting another in the face with a rubber mallet, police said.

The 52-year-old victim got into an argument with the suspect, a 46-year-old man, shortly before 11 a.m. in the 200 block of Eddy Street, police said.

The suspect then allegedly picked up a rubber mallet, struck the victim in the face and ran away.

The victim was taken to a hospital with what police described as a “major bloody nose,” but is expected to survive his injuries.

No arrest has been made as of this morning, police said.
