Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who stole more than $900 worth of construction tools out of a pickup truck late last month in San Francisco.

Police have released a surveillance video of the incident, which occurred on Dec. 30 in the 900 block of Van Ness Avenue.

The video depicts a suspect standing by a pickup truck, talking on his cellphone. The suspect opens a locked toolbox bolted to the truck with what police said is possibly a master key and takes the contents inside.

Police are asking that anyone with potentially relevant information call an anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444.
