A 37-year-old man fatally shot on Wednesday night in San Francisco’s Bayview District has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as San Francisco resident Filivaa Kamelei.
San Francisco police received a report of a shooting in the 1400 block of Quint Street near Oakdale Avenue just after 10 p.m.
Officers arrived at the scene and found Kamelei suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics responded but he died of his injuries at the scene, police said.
San Francisco police are investigating four additional homicides in the Bayview District since the beginning of the year.
Police have not announced any arrests in connection with the recent homicides in the neighborhood.
