PG&E stopped a gas leak near San Francisco’s Alamo Square this morning, according to the fire department.

The gas leak was reported at 10:31 a.m. near the corner of McAllister and Divisadero streets. PG&E crews responded and stopped the leak at 10:47 a.m., a PG&E spokeswoman said.

The leak was caused by a construction crew digging in the area that hit a half-inch plastic gas line, PG&E spokeswoman Brandi Ehlers said.
One customer in the area is without gas service as PG&E makes repairs, Ehlers said.
