Man Identified in SoMa Shooting

A man killed in a shooting in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood Tuesday night has been identified, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Marc-Anthony Salumbides, 25, of Pacifica, was found around 11 p.m. in the 100 block of Sixth Street with a gunshot wound to his upper body after officers were flagged down because of gunshots heard in the area, police said.

Officers found Salumbides lying on the sidewalk and rendered aid. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room, according to police.

Information on a suspect in the shooting was not immediately available, police said today.
