Firefighters responded to a small structure fire in the city’s Mission District this morning, a fire department employee said.

The fire was reported at an apartment building in the 2000 block of Mission Street, which is near 16th Street, at 10:15 a.m., the employee said. It was contained at 11:02 a.m.

There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Emergency vehicles were blocking Mission Street between 16th and 17th streets, and Muni was rerouting its 14-Mission, 49-Mission/Van Ness and 33-Stanyan lines.
