The San Francisco Police Department’s bomb squad examined a suspicious device tonight at Mason and Turk streets and has determined it not to be hazardous.

Officers first responded around 7:25 p.m., Officer Gordon Shyy said. Traffic was impacted in the area for nearly two hours. There was a shelter-in-place for the surrounding buildings.

Roads were being reopened around 9:15 p.m., he said.
