A pedestrian was hit by a car near San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park this morning, fire officials said.

The incident was reported just after 8:45 a.m. at 25th Avenue and Fulton Street, fire officials said.

That intersection is an entrance into the park.

Medical crews responded and took the pedestrian to a hospital.

San Francisco police Officer Tracy Turner said the pedestrian had suffered injuries that were not life threatening.

She said the driver was cooperating with police.
