12:30 PM: Two suspicious packages found in two different San Francisco neighborhoods this morning were determined to be harmless, police said.
Police initially responded to Polk and Filbert streets at 9:07 a.m. because of a package there.
While responding, police were alerted about a second suspicious object at 1 Market St. in the Financial District at 10:37 a.m.
More officers headed to the second location and just before noon, they determined that the package was not a threat, police said.
The first package was also deemed safe and investigators had left the scene by noon, police said.
11:19 AM: Police are responding to a suspicious package in San Francisco’s Russian Hill neighborhood this morning, police said.
Authorities were alerted about the object at Filbert and Polk streets at 9:07 a.m., police said.
