A fast-moving motorcyclist who evaded Pacifica police early this morning was placed under arrest after he crashed his bike into a car on 19th Avenue in San Francisco, Pacifica police reported today.

At 12:34 a.m. a Pacifica police officer noticed a motorcycle traveling upward of 80 mph on state Route 1 near Interstate Highway 280.

The officer attempted to stop the motorcyclist, who allegedly failed to yield and continued north on Interstate Highway 280 toward the 19th Avenue exit, according to police. The motorcycle collided with a car at 19th Avenue and Crespi Drive in San Francisco, police said.

The driver of the motorcycle, Sean French, 21, of Walnut Creek, was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of his injuries and was later placed under arrest on suspicion of felony evading police.
