San Francisco police this morning removed more than two-dozen people who were illegally occupying an abandoned church in the city’s Oceanview neighborhood, a police spokesman said.

A total of 28 people were removed from the building around 7 a.m. today. The church is located in the 200 block of Broad Street, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.

Two of the squatters were taken into custody, one for an outstanding warrant and another for resisting arrest, Esparza said.
