A one-alarm fire that was apparently sparked by welding work being done in a building in San Francisco’s Dolores Heights neighborhood was quickly extinguished this afternoon, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The fire was reported at 2:51 p.m. at 91 Hill St., a small residential street between Guerrero and Valencia streets and 21st and 22nd streets, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

Firefighters responded and contained the flames to the second floor of the building and extinguished the fire at 3:12 p.m., Talmadge said.

No one was injured in the blaze.
