sffd_firefighters.jpgFirefighters extinguished a small flue fire in San Francisco’s Westfield Mall tonight, a fire dispatcher said.

The fire in the mall, located at 865 Market St., was reported at 8:15 p.m.

Initial reports were that firefighters encountered smoke coming from the roof and some of the upper floors of the mall.

The fire was extinguished at 8:40 p.m. and was in a flue coming from a restaurant in the building.

One person in a wheelchair on the fifth floor was assisted out of the building by firefighters.
