shooting_nighttime.jpgThe condition of a Burlingame man injured in a shooting outside a Halloween party at Fort Mason on Sunday has improved, San Francisco police said today.

Police are now searching for photos or video of the Oct. 28 incident, in which 21-year-old Ben Pessah was shot as he was leaving the party with his girlfriend, Carissa Harper, 20, and two other people.

Suspect Hun Saelee, 30, of San Leandro, allegedly grabbed Harper’s chest and tried to start a fight, Harper said on Wednesday. He eventually grabbed a gun out of the trunk of his car and allegedly shot Pessah in the head as he ran away.

Pessah was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that were described as life threatening, but police said today that his life is no longer considered at risk.

Saelee allegedly fled the scene along with 26-year-old Judiana Lau, but was later arrested at his home, still wearing the same clothes from the night before.

Lau has been charged with being an accessory to the crime after the fact but posted bail on Tuesday.

Any members of the public who captured photos or video footage of the incident are asked to call San Francisco police at (415) 553-1753. Anonymous tips can also be made by calling (415) 575-4444 or texted to TIP411 and starting the message with SFPD.
