Police responded to the 100 block of Broad Street shortly after 7:30 p.m. on reports that a suspect had threatened to shoot someone.

When officers arrived they found the suspect inside his house and he said he would shoot any police that attempted to enter his house without a warrant.

Negotiators talked the man into surrendering and did not find any weapons.

He was detained by police and his mental health will be evaluated, police said.
