The 19-year-old suspect approached the three boys at Ocean and Delano avenues around 10 p.m., police said.

The suspect brandished a gun and took phones, money, a wallet, and keys from the three boys, who were not injured during the robbery.

The suspect then fled on foot but was later found by police with an 18-year-old man.

Police found a suspicious device in a green vehicle associated with the suspects. After the Department’s Explosive Ordinance Detail was called out the device was determined to not be an explosive device.

Both suspects were arrested, according to police.
