sfpd_arrestcuffs.jpgPolice arrested a man suspected of stabbing a person in the neck in San Francisco’s Justin Herman Plaza tonight, police said.

The stabbing was reported at 9:26 p.m., Officer Albie Esparza said.

The suspect and the victim were in an argument in the plaza, and eventually the suspect cut the victim’s neck.

The suspect fled the scene, but a witness followed him, eventually flagging down an officer.

The officer apprehended the man at Don Chee Way and Embarcadero, Esparza said.

The victim was transported to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, Esparza said.
