sffd_firefighters.jpgFirefighters quickly extinguished a fire at a vacant house in San Francisco’s Bayview District this morning, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The one-alarm blaze was reported at 11:38 a.m. at 5228 Third St.

The flames were contained to the roof of a home that witnesses said was vacant, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.
