shooting_nighttime.jpgA man was shot in the arm by a teenage suspect in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Wednesday evening, police said today.

The 59-year-old victim was standing on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of Palou Avenue at 6:17 p.m. when the suspect approached and opened fire, according to police.

The victim was struck in the arm and was taken to a hospital. He is expected to survive, police said.

The suspect, described as between 13 and 16 years old, fled and had not been found as of this morning, according to police.
