N and J Line Rail and Street Improvements
From 8 p.m., Friday through 5 a.m., Monday, the SFMTA will continue construction for the Church and Duboce Project with street repaving on Church Street between Market and Reservoir streets and at the intersection of Church and Duboce as well as the installation of the guard rail on the Church Street boarding island between Duboce and Reservoir streets. The Carl Street project will include track replacement at the intersection of Carl and Cole streets, requiring the closure of that intersection, and sewer work on Carl Street between Arguello Boulevard and Hillway Avenue.
N Judah bus shuttles will be in place starting 7 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, the J Church streetcar will provide service from Balboa Park to Market and Church. Customers will need to transfer at Church Station to continue Downtown. Reroutes will be required for the 43 Masonic, 37 Corbett, 22 Fillmore and N Owl.
Rugby Tournament in Treasure Island
On Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, the San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Tournament will take place at Ray Sheeran Field on Treasure Island.
Avenue “H” between California and 3rd streets will be closed from noon, Friday until noon, Monday.
The 108 Treasure Island Muni route will be affected during the street closure.
Nihonmachi Street Fair
On Saturday and Sunday, the 39th annual Nihonmachi Street Fair will take place in and around Japantown from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Please visit www.nhonmachistreetfair.org for more details.
The following street closures will be required from 5 a.m., Saturday to 9:30 p.m., Sunday:
?? Post Street from Laguna Street to Fillmore Street
?? Webster Street from Geary Boulevard to Sutter Street
?? Intersection of Webster Street and Post Street
There will be no impact on Muni service.
Sunday Streets – Mission District
The sixth of 10 Sunday Streets events will be held this Sunday in the Mission District. Sunday’s event is a 2.2-mile route and includes street closures on portions of 24th Street, Valencia Street and various adjacent streets. The route will be available for recreational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to all participants.
The following street closures will be required from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.:
24th Street between Hampshire and Valencia streets
Valencia Street between 24th Street and Duboce Avenue
Harrison Street between 23rd and 25th streets
Mission Street between 23rd and 25th streets
Intersection: 24th Street at Mission Street
Cross traffic at 24th Street will be allowed on:
South Van Ness Avenue
Folsom Street
Bryant Street
Cross traffic at Valencia Street will be allowed on:
20th Street
18th Street
16th Street
14th Street
The following Muni routes will be affected:
