shooting_nighttime.jpgA man was shot in the foot in what may have been a gang-related shooting San Francisco’s Mission District early Sunday morning, police said.

The shooting was reported at 3:31 a.m. at 16th and Mission streets.

The 24-year-old victim was approached by a suspect who asked him where he was from, according to police.

The victim said he was not in a gang and started to run, and was then shot in the foot, police said. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.

The victim said he saw an older-model blue Buick fleeing the scene, but no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, police said.
