shooting_nighttime.jpgA pizza deliveryman was robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco’s Bayview District early Tuesday morning, police said.

The robbery was reported shortly after midnight near Innes Avenue and Mendell Street.

The 39-year-old deliveryman was bringing a pizza to an address in the 1400 block of Innes Avenue, but realized the address did not exist after getting there, according to police.

When he got out of the car to look for the residence, a suspect approached, pointed a gun at his chest and demanded money, police said.

The victim gave the suspect his wallet and cellphone and the suspect also grabbed the pizza before fleeing. He had not been found as of this afternoon, police said.
The deliveryman was not injured in the robbery.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
