muni_driver.jpgA woman was critically injured when she was ejected from a vehicle after clipping a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus this afternoon, a police spokesman said.

The crash was reported at 2:56 p.m. on Sunnydale Avenue between Santos Street and Persia Avenue near the Gleneagles Golf Course.

A Ford SUV was traveling east on Sunnydale Avenue on a downhill grade when the woman lost control, clipped the Muni bus and the SUV overturned, police spokesman Sgt. Mike Andraychak said.

The woman was ejected from the vehicle. She has been taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that are considered life-threatening, Andraychak said.

The Muni bus was damaged but no other injuries were reported in connection with the crash, Andraychak said.

3:25 PM: A person was ejected from a vehicle in a collision with a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus this afternoon, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The crash was reported at 2:58 p.m. on Sunnydale Avenue between Santos Street and Persia Avenue near the Gleneagles Golf Course, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

Someone was ejected from the SUV and is being transported to San Francisco General Hospital, Talmadge said. She did not know the extent of the person’s injuries.

Talmadge said there may have been at least one other person injured, possibly the Muni driver.

Muni and police officials were not immediately available with more information about the crash.
