sfpd_arrestcuffs.jpgA teenager was arrested Sunday in connection with a shooting in the Alice Griffith public housing complex in San Francisco’s Bayview District last week, a police spokesman said today.

The shooting was reported at 10:13 p.m. Wednesday in the first block of Nichols Way.

The 19-year-old victim was hospitalized in stable condition with injuries to his neck and abdomen, according to police.

Investigators eventually identified a 16-year-old boy as the suspected shooter and arrested him at about 2:45 p.m. Sunday at Nichols and Cameron ways, police spokesman Sgt. Mike Andraychak said.

The suspect’s name is not being released because he is a juvenile, Andraychak said.

A fatal shooting then occurred on the same block on Friday, but Andraychak said the two incidents are not believed to be related.

The victim in that shooting, Henry Tautolo, 22, was gunned down at about 9 p.m. Friday. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Tautolo, who also went by the name “Hen,” was mourned on Facebook following the shooting.

“You will always be missed and forever loved, but never forgotten,” one post read. “R.I.P. Henry! We all love you.”

Anyone with information about the homicide is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
