A grass fire in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood has been contained with minimal damage to nearby homes this afternoon, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
The single-alarm fire on Charter Oak Avenue near Interstate Highway 280 and Silver Avenue was reported at 3:22 p.m. and contained at 4:04 p.m., said Capt. Jeanne Seyler.
The fire threatened several structures in the area but damage was limited to the fence near one home, Seyler said. No injuries were reported.
