4:14 PM: A man who was fatally shot in San Francisco’s Bayview District early this morning has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as 22-year-old Calvin Sneed.

Sneed, a resident of Compton in Los Angeles County, was shot in the head shortly after 2 a.m. as he was driving near Meade and Le Conte avenues, police said.

Sneed’s car then crashed into a parked car. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries around 5 a.m., police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.

No arrests had been made and no suspect information was available as of this afternoon, Esparza said.

12:04 PM: A 22-year-old man who was shot early this morning in San Francisco’s Bayview District has died, a police spokesman said.

The shooting was reported shortly after 2 a.m. near Meade and Le Conte avenues.

The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was driving his car when he was shot in the head, causing the car to crash into a parked vehicle, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at about 5 a.m., Esparza said.

No suspect information was immediately available this morning, he said.

6:23 AM: A shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview District early this morning sent one man to the hospital, police said.

Police responded to the shooting a short time after 2 a.m. near the intersection of Le Conte and Meade avenues.

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds, police said.

No further information was immediately available this morning.
