true-sf-giants-new-era-cap.jpgTwo San Francisco Giants stars are debuting new public service announcements today meant to educate parents about the age and content rating system for computer and video games.

Catcher Buster Posey and pitcher Ryan Vogelsong are joining families and members of the Entertainment Software Rating Board, which assigns the ratings, to unveil the campaign at AT&T Park this morning.

The PSAs will feature the Giants players explaining the rating system and encouraging parents to refer to it when buying games for their families.

The clips will be broadcast on TV and radio stations throughout Northern California and will be shown on the video display boards at AT&T Park during Giants home games.

Posey and Vogelsong will appear at the ballpark at 11 a.m. today to talk about the campaign and will challenge local kids in “MLB 12: The Show,” a baseball video game for PlayStation 3.
