shooting_nighttime.jpgA woman was shot in the leg while standing with a group of friends in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood early Sunday morning, police said.

The shooting was reported at 1:34 a.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of Connecticut Street.

The 36-year-old victim was standing in the street with her friends when 10 to 12 shots were fired, one of which struck her, according to police.

The woman was taken to a hospital to be treated for her injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

No arrests had been made and no description of the shooter was available as of this morning, according to police.
