policeblotter_sfa.jpgA man was critically injured when he was hit with a baseball bat during a fight in a parking lot in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Tuesday night, police said.

The attack was reported at 10:33 p.m. near Third Street and Williams Avenue.

The 37-year-old victim got into an argument with the suspect that turned physical, and the suspect struck him on the head and arms with the bat, according to police.

The victim was taken by friends to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are considered life-threatening, police said.

The suspect, a man in his 30s, fled and had not been found as of this morning, police said.
