sfpd_squad.jpgAn 80-year-old woman was attacked during a home invasion in San Francisco’s Portola neighborhood on Sunday morning, police said today.

The attack was reported around 11:45 a.m. at a home in the 200 block of Gaven Street.

The elderly victim heard banging on the door and when she opened it, two suspects forced their way inside and a third entered through the garage, according to police.

The suspects demanded money and struck the woman repeatedly, but then left without taking any property, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital after complaining of neck pain, but her injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The suspects, three men believed to be in their early to mid-20s, had not been found as of this morning.

Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
