policeblotter_sfa.jpgA woman got a scare Tuesday morning when she woke up to find an intruder in her room in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, police said.

The break-in was reported around 6 a.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Turk Street, which is near Hyde.

The 46-year-old victim said she woke up and saw a man sitting on the bed. A physical struggle ensued, and intruder struck the woman in the face numerous times, according to police.

She was eventually able to get him out of the bedroom, and he fled the building, police said. The suspect, described as a man in his 40s, has not been found.

The victim did not require hospitalization.
