A 49-year-old San Francisco man is scheduled to be arraigned on human trafficking charges in San Mateo County Superior Court on Thursday afternoon.
David Blackwell is charged with pimping a 17-year-old girl on the adult escort website MyRedbook.com, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.
Blackwell allegedly kept the teenager in his San Francisco condominium and required she be available at all times to service potential clients, prosecutors said.
In early April, Blackwell allegedly held a gun to the girl when she had friends over in violation of his house rules, prosecutors said.
The suspect was arrested at a motel in San Bruno where he had gone with the girl.
Blackwell has been charged with kidnapping with the purpose of sexual assault, human trafficking of a victim under the age of 18, pandering, pimping, and assault with a deadly weapon, Chief Deputy District Attorney Karen Guidotti said.
He is being held on $1 million bail and faces life in prison if convicted.
