San Francisco Public Utilities Commission crews responded this morning to a water main break in the city’s South of Market neighborhood, a utility spokesman said.

The break was reported around 11 a.m. on Second Street between Market and Mission streets, SFPUC spokesman Charles Sheehan said.

The incident did not cause any flooding or interruption to water service in the area, and crews were on site and planned to have the line repaired soon, Sheehan said shortly after 11:30 a.m.
