sfpd_squad.jpgA man was attacked and robbed in Francisco’s Mid-Market neighborhood on Monday afternoon, police said.

The robbery was reported around 2 p.m. Monday near Market and Seventh streets.

The 24-year-old victim was walking when a suspect approached him from behind and punched him on the side of the head, according to police.

When the victim fell to the ground, the suspect took his wallet and cash and ran away, police said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for the broken jaw and is expected to survive.

No information was immediately available about the suspect, who remains at large, according to police.

    I don’t know what’s with all the crime but the mayor is siting on butt and doing nothing and it seem it’s increasing daily. You cannot walk at by yourself without fear of some goons or thugs robbing. I have people wanting to come out to San Francisco but are concerned about the crime and assaults.
