sfpd_squad.jpgA man was stabbed in the chest during a fight in San Francisco’s Mission District on Monday afternoon, police said.

The stabbing was reported at about 2:30 p.m. on 24th Street between Folsom and Shotwell streets.

The 23-year-old victim got into a fight with another man and suffered a puncture wound to his upper left torso from a sharp object, according to police.

The suspect, a man in his 20s, fled the scene and has not been found.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.
