policeblotter_sfa.jpgA man was robbed and shot at in San Francisco’s Portola neighborhood on Friday night, police said.

The robbery was reported at 8:20 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Mansell Street, near McLaren Park.

The 46-year-old victim was sitting in his car when a suspect approached, opened the car door and pointed a gun at him while demanding his property, according to police.

The victim complied, handing over a wallet, CD player and phone.

The suspect walked away but then turned and fired one round at the victim, police said. The victim was not hit by the gunfire.

The suspect, a man around 20 years old, fled and has not been found. Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
