shooting_nighttime.jpgA shot was fired into a home in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Monday evening but the resident inside was not injured, police said.

The shooting was reported at about 7:35 p.m. Monday at a home in the 5600 block of Third Street.

The female resident told investigators that she was watching TV when she heard her bedroom window break. She went into the room and noticed a bullet fragment on the carpet, police said.

Investigators collected the bullet and searched the area for witnesses or other damage, but didn’t find either.
