sfpd_squad.jpgA woman was robbed at gunpoint while walking with her three children in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The 31-year-old victim was walking with the children around 3:30 p.m. near Velasco Avenue and Sawyer Street when a suspect wearing a black mask and armed with a handgun approached and grabbed her purse from her left shoulder, according to police.

The suspect fled with the purse, which contained the woman’s house keys, Social Security card, cash and other items, police said.

The victim and her children were not injured in the robbery.

The suspect had not been found as of today. Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
